Jamaat, 11-party alliance hold rally, discussion in Dimla on July Mass Uprising

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, along with an 11-party alliance, organized a colourful rally and discussion meeting in Dimla Upazila of Nilphamari on Wednesday to mark the second anniversary of the "July Movement of '36."
The rally began in the afternoon from the Dimla Islamia Degree College ground and marched through the main roads of the upazila before concluding at Bijoy Chattar, where a brief discussion meeting was held.
The meeting was presided over by Prof Kazi Habibur Rahman, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Dimla Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami.
Among those who addressed the gathering were Prof Chhader Hossain, member of the Executive Council of Nilphamari District Jamaat-e-Islami; Kazi Rukuzzaman Bokul, Secretary of Dimla Upazila Jamaat; Professor Maulana Waheduzzaman, Baitul Mal Secretary; Prof Anarul Islam Lebu, Assistant Secretary; Maulana Jahidul Islam, President of the Upazila Sramik Kallyan Federation; Shah Abdul Aziz, Convener of the NCP's Dimla Upazila unit; Member Secretary Rashed; Belal Hossain, Member Secretary of Khagakharibari Union; along with leaders and activists of the 11-party alliance.
In their speeches, the speakers expressed concern over the country's recent political developments, the law-and-order situation, and what they alleged were repeated attacks on leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir.
A large number of leaders, activists, and supporters of Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Chhatra Shibir, the Sramik Kallyan Federation, and the 11-party alliance attended the program.
