BNP leader demands justice for July martyrs at Bhairab reception

State Minister for Jute and Textiles Md. Shariful Alam MP has called for the trial of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her associates during a event honouring the families of July Uprising martyrs and fighters in Bhairab, Kishoreganj.
The reception and discussion program, organized by local Upazila and Municipal BNP leaders at the Palace Community Center, was chaired by Upazila BNP President Md. Rafiqul Islam. Key local BNP figures, including Md. Ariful Islam, Haji Md. Shahin, and VP Mujibur Rahman, attended alongside victim families, including the mother of martyr Jobay, who tearfully demanded justice for her son's murder.
Addressing the gathering following a memorial prayer, Shariful Alam ssid, the current government stands on the sacrifices of the July martyrs, whose blood enabled free elections and the restoration of democracy. He emphasized that establishing justice and holding the former administration accountable for the July crackdown remains a primary responsibility.
