Chhatra Dal leader electrocutePirojnut trader dies felling from tree in Nazirpur

Md. Suman Sheikh (44) and Md. Hiru Hazra (37), a coconut trader, died after falling from a coconut tree in Nazirpur, Pirojpur.
Nazirpur Police Station OC Md. Tariqul Islam confirmed their deaths on Wednesday.
The deceased, Sumon Sheikh, was the son of Mahar Ali Sheikh of Banyari village in Matibhanga union of the upazila and the former president of the Chhatra Dal of that union. While Hiru Hazra is the son of Taiyab Ali Hazra of Chhota Buichakathi village in Sadar union of the upazila.
Former president of Nazirpur Upazila Chhatra Dal, S.M. Majedul Kabir Russel, confirmed that the deceased Sumon Sheikh was the former president of Matibhanganga Union Chhatra Dal.
Sonia Begum, wife of the deceased Sumon, said that he (Sumon) was seriously injured after being electrocuted while operating an electric cheese pump at his cow farm at around 10:30 am that day. He was rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Upazila Sadar Union Chairman Russel. Shikder said, "Hiru Hazra is a dub coconut trader by profession. That morning, he went to a house near his house in Chhotobuichakathi village of the upazila to collect dub coconuts. He died after falling from the tree."
Dr. Md. Shakil Khan, the on-duty physician at the Upazila Health Complex, said that the deceased Sumon Sheikh and Hiru Hazra were brought to the Upazila Health Complex by their relatives in a dying state.
