Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (VDP), has extended financial assistance to the family of late Mohammad Alauddin, an Ansar-VDP officer who died in a road accident while on duty.
On Thursday morning, the Ansar DG handed over a cheque of Tk 2,58,074 to Farzana Yasmin Poli, widow of the deceased official, at the force's headquarters. The financial support, provided by the welfare wing of the organization, will be used to clear Mohammad Alauddin’s outstanding loan with the Ansar-VDP Unnayan Bank.
Alauddin, who served as the Mirsharai Upazila Ansar and VDP Officer, lost his life in a tragic road crash on July 5 while performing his official duties. Immediately following the incident, the force provided Tk 75,000 to cover funeral costs and ambulance fare.
The cheque handover ceremony was attended by the deceased's father and Director of the Welfare Wing, Enamul Khan. Expressing deep condolences to the bereaved family, the Director General assured them that all due official benefits would be processed swiftly and that the force would continue to support them in the future.
