First monthly meeting of newly- formed council of Rangamati District Council held

Effective programs should be implemented in the potential and backward areas of the district by taking joint initiatives in the fisheries, tourism and agriculture sectors.
The newly appointed chairman of the district council, Dipan Talukder, said this in his speech at the first monthly meeting of the newly formed councils held at the Annex building of the Rangamati Hill District Council on Sunday morning.
Chairman Dipan Talukder, greeting the officials present at the meeting, called for new enthusiasm and new initiatives and said that all the development projects of the district council should be implemented without discrimination with transparency and accountability. Special attention should be given to all concerned so that the benefits of development reach the common people and the disadvantaged population.
All members of the newly formed council, along with officials from various departments, were present at the meeting, which was chaired by Khandaker Mohammad Rizaul Karim, the council's Chief Executive Officer.
Officials from various departments presented the ongoing activities and progress of their respective departments.
