Mahbub Piyal, Faridpur

The book launch of a commemorative volume and a grand reception honoring Prof. Mohammad Abdus Samad—a veteran educator, writer, researcher, national award recipient for social service, and deeply respected public figure in Faridpur—was held on Saturday evening at the Faridpur Shishu Academy auditorium.

Organized by the Faridpur Gunijon Mulyayon O Unnayan Gobeshona Kendra, the event featured Faridpur-3 (Sadar) Member of Parliament Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf as the chief guest, while Faridpur-4 Member of Parliament Md. Shahidul Islam Khan Babul attended as the distinguished guest.

Presided over by the center's President Principal Abdullah Al Mamun and conducted by General Secretary Prof. Md. Munirul Islam, the program included speeches by Faridpur District Council Administrator Afzal Hossain Khan Palash, Additional District Magistrate Sushmita Saha, Faridpur Muslim Mission College President and prominent social worker Chowdhury Amer Yusuf, former Chairman of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka Dr. Md. Azizur Rahman, founder and chief advisor of the organizing center as well as former Chairman of Jashore Education Board and Dainik Fatehabad Editor Prof. A. B. M. Sattar, writer and researcher Mofiz Imam Milon, and District BNP Member Secretary A. K. Kibria Swapan, among others.

In response to the warm felicitation, the honoree, Professor Mohammad Abdus Samad, shared his heartfelt reflections and feelings.

Prior to the main session, guests inaugurated the event by releasing balloons and festoons, cutting a ribbon, and touring a special photo gallery showcasing defining moments from Professor Samad's life.
