Asashuni Upazila team wins in Satkhira DC Cup Football Tournament

The prize distribution for the final game of the Deputu Commissioner Cup Football Tournament in Satkhira has been completed. The game and prize distribution were held at the Satkhira District Stadium on Sunday at 3:30 pm jointly organized by the District Administration, District Sports Association and District Football Association.
Asashuni vs Kaliganj Upazila participated in the game. In the first half of the game, Asashuni team scored a goal. In the second half, Kaliganj Upazila team scored 1 goal and both teams were equal, so it went to a tiebreaker. In the tiebreaker, Asashuni Upazila team scored 5 goals and became the champion. On the other hand, Kaliganj Upazila team scored 3 goals and became the runner-up. The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner and District Sports Association convener Ms. Kausar Aziz and the District Council Administrator, former MP Habibul Islam Habib, was present as the chief guest and distributed the prizes. Abu Zahid Dablu, General Secretary of the District Sports Association and Member Secretary of the District BNP, delivered the welcome speech.
Satkhira Police Superintendent Abu Saleh Md. Ashraful Alam, BNP central committee member and former MP Kazi Alauddin, district BNP convener Rahmatullah Palash, and district BNP former senior joint convener Alhaj Abdur Rouf spoke as special guests.

The role of Satkhira's children in the sports arena of Bangladesh and the world is commendable. For a long time, there was no sports, the playing environment was destroyed. The current Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has made progress in the sports and cultural arena. He also said that there is no alternative to sports to keep the body and mind healthy. Sports should be given importance to build a drug-free society.
