A Cyber Security Career workshop was held at the campus of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) as part of the observance of Cyber Security Awareness Month October.
With the workshop, a colourful rally was also arranged. The event took place on Wednesday with the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BAUET, Brigadier General S M Lutfor Rahman, gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest.
In his speech, the Chief Guest said, This workshop has been organized to enhance the students technical knowledge and skills alongside their academic activities. He encouraged everyone to follow proper cyber safety practices to prevent cyberattacks and advised students to remain cautious while using social media platforms.
The resource person of the workshop was Sakib Haque Zisan, CEO of Byte Capsule and Security Analyst, as well as an alumnus of the CSE Department of BAUET. At the closing ceremony, the Chief Guest presented a crest to the resource person in appreciation of his contribution.
The event was attended by Colonel Md. Shawkat Hossain, psc (Retd.), Treasurer of BAUET; Prof Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Science and Humanities; Prof Dr. Mohammad Nurul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering; Prof Dr. Md. Shahidul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Law; Professor Mohammad Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, Dean, Faculty of ECE; along with department heads, faculty members, officers, and students.
The program was conducted by Maisha Tasnim, a student of the CSE Department. The welcome address was delivered by Ananya Sarker, Assistant Professor and Head of the CSE Department.
