UNO inspects cleanliness campaign to prevent dengue in Kalai

Following the official inauguration of a three-month-long cleanliness drive to prevent dengue, Kalai UNO and Municipal Administrator Faisal Ahmed inspected the ongoing cleanliness activities in Kalai, Joypurhat.
On Saturday morning , he personally supervised the cleanup drive in the Dak Bungalow area of Kalai municipality.
The event was attended by Md. Alam Sarkar, Senior Joint Convener of Kalai Upazila BNP; Sajjadur Rahman Talukder, Convener of Municipal BNP; Anisur Rahman Talukder, Member of District BNP Convener Committee; and former councilors Rezaউল Islam and Aminul Islam, among many others.
During the inspection, Municipal Administrator Faisal Ahmed said, "Although there is no significant outbreak of dengue in this area, everyone must remain vigilant. There is no alternative to awareness when it comes to prevention. This is not just the administration's responsibility—it is up to all of us to keep our homes and surroundings clean.
Places where mosquito larvae can accumulate must be identified and cleaned regularly." He called upon people from all walks of life to work together to build a dengue-free Kalai town.
