The police have recovered the throats slit bodies of two youths from the fourth floor of a four-storey building in Gazipur. The police have detained four suspects for questioning in the incident. Their bodies were recovered from a building owned by Rezaul Karim in Madhabpur (Uttarpara) area of Kashimpur in the city at 2 am on Tuesday (November 5). Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kashimpur Police Station Saiful Islam confirmed the recovery of the throats slit.

On receiving the information, the Gazipur Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) visited the scene at night. The arrested are Mahbub, Shanto, Zahid and Bakul, the caretaker of the house.

The deceased are Russell Hossain (23), son of the late Rabiul Islam of Chandpur village in Debhata upazila of Satkhira district, and Sufian (24), son of Zafar Ali of Charbhedura village in Sadar upazila of Bhola district. Both of them worked as packaging workers in a factory godown rented from Rezaul Karim's house in Madhabpur Uttar Para area under Kashimpur police station.

Police and locals said that the deceased victims Russell and Sufian have been living in a rented house in the fourth-floor flat of the four-story building for a long time. They worked as packaging workers in a local factory godown. The owner of the factory called Bakul, the caretaker of the building, at night, saying that Russell and Sufian had not come to the factory on Tuesday. Later, caretaker Bakul went up to the fourth floor around 11 pm and saw the slit bodies of Russell and Sufian lying inside the room. According to Kashimpur police, the bodies were recovered from the scene.

Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Kashimpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saiful Islam said that the body has been recovered and sent to the Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. However, the police are investigating the reason and who committed the incident. Legal action is under process in this regard.
