In Barishal, building owners are occupying the footpath and leaving bricks, stones and sand without any regard for rules and regulations. According to the law, it is illegal to keep various construction materials including bricks, sand and stones on the road. But still no one obeys this rule.

In this regard, Rifat Rahman, Saju, Shahadat, Tipu and many others have complained and said that the road has been shortened by placing construction materials on various roads and because of keeping all these materials, sand and stones are scattered on most parts of the road.
