Common passengers have suffered due to the stoppage of dam train on Chattogram-Nazirhat route. Only 2 local trains are running on this route. Every day thousands of passengers come and go by train on this route, but now the demo train is stopped, the passengers traveling on this route are disappointed and suffering.

In the morning, the local train from Nazirhat to Chattogram was crowded with passengers. The morning train is very important for the people of Fatikchari and Hathazari who work in various offices and factories in the city. All these people travel by train to escape from the heavy traffic on the road from Nazirhat. Apart from office staff, garment workers, businessmen, hundreds of poor families of North Chattogram are traveling by this train. The distance from the city to Nazirhat is about 25 km.

Earlier, CNG-powered autorickshaws used to reach in an hour. But now you can't reach work place on time even if you go out with one and a half to two hours. Because, vehicles – crisis. Passenger local buses are very few. Many people are coming and going to the office regularly by CNG auto-rickshaws as they are crowded even if they get a lot of time. Like them, thousands of people traveling short distances are suffering. Similarly, those who are traveling from Phatikchari Nazirhat to work place or any other work, they are also in trouble. When contacted, Sholshahar station master Zainal Abedin admitted to this reporter that the demo train was closed.

While talking to several passengers going to Nazirhat, they said, due to the closure of demo trains on the Nazirhat route, they have suffered greatly. Demanded to higher authorities to start more local trains on this route soon.
