Old man missing in Sylhet

An old man named Adir Debnath (80) has gone missing from Bhatalia area of Sylhet city. He has been missing since he left home last Monday morning to go to the temple. He hears less with his ears and sees less with his eyes.
Adir Debnath's daughter Champa Rani Nath made a general diary in Sylhet Kotwali Model Police Station. Diary No- 358, dated 05-11-2025.
Champa Rani Nath, the daughter of the missing person, said that Adir Debnath left his house in Bhatalia at around 11 am last Monday, saying that he was going to the ISKCON temple in Kajalshah. If he does not return home even after going all day, the ISKCON temple, the surrounding area and the homes of his relatives are searched. Later, at around 11 pm, through a Facebook post, Adir Debnath came to know that he had an accident in the 'Miya Fazil Chishat' area. After searching all the hospitals, he was not found.
Champa Rani Nath also said that Adir Debnath is physically sick and has less hearing and less vision. He speaks the regional language of Sunamganj. His skin color is dark brown and his height is approximately 5 feet. She was wearing a pink color fatwa and black pants when she went missing.

Seminar at Osmani Medical on World Head-Neck Cancer Day
In recent years, the number of patients suffering from 'head and neck' cancer in Bangladesh is increasing day by day, but it is possible to survive from 'head and neck' cancer by taking preventive measures.
On the occasion of World Head-Neck Cancer Day-2024, the speakers said this at the public awareness seminar held at the Medical Education Unit Hall of Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. This seminar was organized by the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Department of SOMC on Wednesday.
Speakers in the seminar said that a significant number of children are among the patients suffering from 'head and neck' cancer in Bangladesh. Eight to 10 percent of children in Bangladesh suffer from head and neck cancer. There is no way to prevent this cancer in children because it is genetic. However, there are several preventable causes of this cancer in adults. If the disease is diagnosed in the early stages and treated at the right time, it is possible to recover 100% of patients of all ages.
Speakers say that if the money spent on cancer treatment is spent on prevention, a significant number of people can be saved from developing cancer. Tobacco is the main cause of head and neck cancer. If we reduce the consumption of tobacco, it is possible to reduce this cancer. In addition, to avoid 'head and neck' cancer, stop smoking and drinking any form of tobacco, daily brushing to keep the mouth clean, regular checkups at the dentist and use of umbrellas and hats to protect oneself from the sun's ultraviolet rays, and sunscreen on the skin and sunscreen on the lips. Speakers recommend using lip balm.
