The implementation of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Hall construction project for Dhaka University female students at an estimated cost of Tk 244 crore with the financial assistance of the Chinese government is starting soon.

The hall will be constructed at the site by demolishing the Dhaka University Press and Nilkhet Police Outpost. The Minutes of Meeting (MoM) of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Hall construction project was signed on Sunday.
. At a ceremony organized at the NEC Conference Room of the Planning Commission, Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on behalf of Dhaka University, Additional Secretary (Planning) Dr. Sardar Mohammad Keramat Ali on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Vice Chairman of China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA) Liu Junfeng signed the MoM. The ERD Secretary and the Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh were present at the event.
Later, a delegation led by Vice Chairman of China International Development Cooperation Agency Lui Junfeng visited the construction site of the hall. Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and Acting Director of Planning and Development Office Mohammad Jabed Alam Mridha were present.

The Vice Chairman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency assured that the feasibility study, including the drawing-design, of the Bangladesh-China Friendship Hall will be completed within this year.
