Stare Minister for Social Welfare Farzana Sharmin distributes Tk 18.41 lakh grants in Baraigram

State Minister for Social Welfare Farzana Sharmin MP distributed government grant cheques amounting to Tk 18.41 lakh among registered private orphanages and voluntary social welfare organizations in Baraigram and Gurudaspur upazilas of Natore.
The grants were provided under the Capitation Grant Program of the Ministry of Social Welfare to eligible private orphanages and registered voluntary social welfare organizations.
The cheque distribution ceremony was held at the Baraigram Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Monday evening, organized by the Baraigram Upazila Administration and the Upazila Social Services Office.
Baraigram Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Jannatul Ferdous chaired the program, while Upazila Agricultural Extension Officer Hosne Ara Khatun moderated the event.
State Minister for Social Welfare Farzana Sharmin MP addressed the program as the chief guest. Special guests included Alhaj Md. Abdul Aziz, MP for Natore-4 (Gurudaspur-Baraigram), Nur Mohammad, Deputy Director of the Natore District Social Services Office, Advocate Abdul Kader, a member of the Natore District BNP, and Abdus Salam Molla, former Joint Convener of Baraigram Upazila BNP.
Upazila Social Services Officer Md. Rezaul Karim delivered the welcome address. Leaders of BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations, representatives of the beneficiary institutions, and local dignitaries were present at the program.
