BRUR’s new Treasurer Dr Abu Hanif Sarker

With the approval of the President and Chancellor in accordance with section 13(1) of the Begum Rokeya University Rangpur Act 2009, Dr. Md. Abu Hanif Sarker, Professor, Department of Mathematics, Jagannath University, has been appointed as the Treasurer of Begum Rokeya University Rangpur.
This order has been passed and issued a notification on 23.07.2026 by the signature Md. Sultan Ahmed, Assistant Secretary according to the order of the Honorable President.
Dr. Md. Abu Hanif Sarker’s appointment as Treasurer shall be for a period of four years from the date of joining or until the date of retirement, whichever is earlier. As per the notification number 267 issued by the Ministry of Education, Secondary and Higher Education, dated 27-12-2020, he will receive an honorarium equivalent to his current post as Treasurer.
He will enjoy other benefits related to the post as per the rules and will remain on the university campus at all times. He will also exercise the powers and perform the duties prescribed by the laws and statutes of the university and given by the Vice-Chancellor. The President and the Chancellor can cancel this appointment at any time if necessary.
