One person was arrested with one foreign pistol, 5 rounds of pistol bullets and 474 pieces of yaba in a joint operation by Coast Guard, Navy and Police at a residential hotel in Khulna.
This information was given in a press release by Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid on Sunday.
According to the press release, based on secret information, on (12 July) Saturday at 11 pm, a joint operation was conducted by Coast Guard, Navy and Police at Z.N. Palace residential hotel under Sonadanga Police Station in Khulna. During the operation, a search was carried out in a room of the said hotel and 1 arms and drug dealer was arrested with 1 foreign pistol, 5 rounds of pistol bullets, and 474 pieces of yaba worth 2 lakh 37 thousand taka.
With regard to taking subsequent legal action, the process of handing over the arrested person along with the seized evidence to Sonadanga Police Station is underway.

Through this, the law and order situation, prevention of drug and arms trafficking in the coastal and riverside areas under the jurisdiction of the Coast Guard has improved significantly.
