Child murder in Ashulia: Youth arrested for killing

Police have arrested a 19-year-old youth named Rabbani for allegedly killing a 12-year-old boy named Jibon by slitting his throat in Ashulia. The murder weapon, a knife, has also been recovered.
At a press conference held at Ashulia Police Station on Sunday, Dhaka District Additional Superintendent of Police Arafatul Islam said that on July 10, Jibon was abducted from the Kathgora area, and a ransom was demanded. Following a complaint filed by the child’s father on July 11, police used technological assistance to arrest Rabbani. Based on his information, the police recovered Jibon’s body, and the knife used in the murder from a nearby jungle.
During primary interrogation, Rabbani confessed that he killed Jibon following an argument.
