Two members of robbery gang arrested with foreign pistols in Madhavadi

Police have arrested two members of a robbery gang in Madhabdi for robbing a truck driver of money and mobile phone by brandishing a foreign pistol.
A foreign pistol, 3 rounds of live ammunition and the stolen cash were recovered from them. Additional Superintendent of Police (Admin) Md. Ashiqur Rahman gave this information at a press conference organized at Madhabdi Police Station on Monday afternoon. Narsingdi Sadar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Sajib, Madhabdi Police Station OC Md. Kamal Hossain, SI Yusuf Ahmed, SI Alauddin and other officers of the police station were present at the time.
Police said that late on Monday night, three robbers brandished pistols and snatched Tk 10,500 in cash and a mobile phone from a truck driver at a place called Nalua on the Panchdona-Ghorashal road. Two cases were registered at Madhavadi Police Station under the Arms Act and robbery charges in this incident.
After receiving information about the incident, a patrol police team led by Madhabdi Police Station SI Yusuf Ahmed, on the instructions of Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Md. Abdullah-Al-Farooq, conducted a drive and arrested two people involved in the incident. They are: Shuvo (22), father of deceased Mizan, village Panchbhag Srinagar, police station Madhabdi, and Fahim (26), son of Halim Mia of the same village.
