10th scout rally held in Kotalipara : Ziaur Rahman was very fond of scouts : SM Jilani MP

SM Jilani, Member of Parliament for Gopalganj-3 and central President of the Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal, has said that martyred President Ziaur Rahman was a strong believer in discipline and admired the Scout movement for its commitment to disciplined living.
Speaking as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the three-day 10th Upazila Scouts Rally at the Government Kotalipara Union Institution Ground on Saturday night, he said that Ziaur Rahman’s appreciation for the Scouts stemmed from the organization’s emphasis on discipline.
Jilani said Scout rallies play an important role in promoting moral values, character building and patriotism among young people.
The closing ceremony was chaired by UNO Sagufta Haque. Among others, Upazila BNP President SM Mohiuddin, General Secretary Abul Bashar Hawlader, Kotalipara Municipal BNP General Secretary Oliar Hawlader, teacher Himangshu Kumar Pandey and Idrisur Rahman also addressed the programme.
Earlier, he attended a Sanatan religious programme at the Radhagobinda Temple in Madhya Lakhanda village under Sadullapur Union in Kotalipara as the chief guest.
