Top terrorist arrested with arms in Narsingdi

A top terrorist named Md. Saikat alias Shawkat Ali (26), known as the terror of Shibpur, has been arrested with arms by Shibpur police. He was arrested early Monday from the Bashundhara area in Dhaka.
Police informed that acting on a tip-off, under the direction of Narsingdi Superintendent of Police Abdul Hannan and led by Officer-in-Charge of Shibpur Police Station Mohammad Afzal Hossain, a special operation was conducted by SI Rezaul, SI Sadek, and accompanying force in which Saikat was arrested from Dhaka’s Bashundhara area. A six-chamber revolver and one round of bullet were recovered from his possession.
The arrested terrorist Saikat is the son of late Siddiqur Rahman of Baniyadi village in Shibpur upazila. According to police, there are six cases including a murder case filed against him at Shibpur Police Station.
