Those who spread communalism in CHT not patriots : Maulana Shahjahan

Md. Alamgir Hossain, Longadu (Rangamati)

Those who spread communalism in Chittagong Hill Tracts ( CHT) are not patriots. Maulana Mohammad Shahjahan, Central Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, said this in a large staff gathering organized by Longdu Upazila Jamaat Islami Longdu Upazila in the open air after 16 years. He also said that all those who live in Bangladesh are Bangladeshis, it doesn't matter who they belong to, Islam preserves the rights of everyone as it was done during the era of Prophet-Rasul and Khulafa Rasheda.

The meeting was held at Rabita Model High School grounds of Longadu Upazila organized by the Longadu Upazila branch of Jamaat-e-Islami on Friday.

Maulana Muhammad Shahajan, Central Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, was present as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Maulana Muhammad Nashir Uddin, Ameer of Longdu Upazila Jamaat under the chairmanship of former Ameer Muhammad Shihab Uddin Shihab of Maini Union of Longadu Upazila Jamaat.

Amir of Rangamati Hill District Jamaat Professor Abdul Alim, Secretary of Rangamati District Jamaat Maulana Muhammad Jahangir Alam, District Assistant Secretary Mansurul Haque, District Jamaat Publicity Secretary Advocate Harun Or Rashid, Rangamati Municipal Jamaat Ameer Abdus were present as special guestsSalam, Bangladesh Islami Student Shibir Rangamati District President Shahidul Islam (Safi) Longdu Upazila Jamaat Naib Amir Maulana ALM Sirajul Islam and local leaders.

During the speech, the leaders said that the dictatorial government of Hasina wanted to wipe out Islam from the soil of Bengal for 16 years. They thought they would rule this country forever. But on August 5, in the face of the anti-discrimination student movement, God's miraculous power forced him to flee to his grandfather's country. We hope that the current interim government will rid Bangladesh of the stigma with a peaceful and fair election.

The speakers also said that hyenas had made this country a dictator for 16 years. In order to stop their tyranny, Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee the dictatorial government in the mass movement of student society from Dhaka University. We express our gratitude to the Bangladesh Army. The people of this country will remember the role played by the Chief of the Bangladesh Army on that day.

This dictatorial government deprived Jamaat-e-Islami in various ways and finally banned Jamaat from Bangladesh but what a cruel irony of fate on August 5 Awami League has been banned by the people of the country.
