Questions have been raised about the recovery of the hanging body of a 12-year-old child in a big boat used to extract tree from the Sundarbans area at Koyra.

The child's mother says there is no reason for him to commit suicide. By murdering him in a planned manner, efforts are being made to cover up the matter by influencing the police station.

The child's name is Salman Sana (12). The child lived with his mother Shamsunnahar in his maternal grandmother's house in Masjidkur village of Amadi union of Koyra upazila.

In a press conference at the Koyraa Upazila Press Club on Friday morning, Shamsunnahar, the mother of the deceased child Salman, claimed, "My son was killed in a planned manner." There can be no justification for my 12-year-old son's suicide. After the killing of the child Salman, a suicide drama has been arranged.

Narrating the incident, Shamsunnahar said, "I slept with my son Salman on the night of last September 28. The next morning Salman gets up and leaves the room to go to the toilet. After that, even after seven o'clock in the morning, he did not return home, and we continued to look for him.

At one stage of the search, my mother (deceased Salman's grandmother) Nachima Khatun went to the bank of the Kapotaksha river near the house.

There, Salman was seen hanging with a veil wrapped around his neck inside the Golpata extraction boat tied to the river bank. We recovered the boy's body from there. My son had a burn mark on the left side of his neck. The neck tie was also loose. It is impossible for my baby to climb such a big and tall boat. As there were drag marks on his body on the side of the boat, we are sure it was a premeditated murder.
