A newly launched concrete (CC) road project connecting Sonamonir Danga Bazar—near Abdul Hamid’s shop—to the Model School in Nautara Union of Dimla Upazila has brought relief and optimism to local residents.
For years, the road remained nearly unusable during the rainy season due to mud and waterlogging, causing severe disruption to daily movement. The construction of this concrete road is expected to significantly ease transportation, benefiting students, farmers, and small traders.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Union Parishad Chairman Ashik Imtiaz Morshed Moni as the chief guest, while UP Administrative Officer Anisur Rahman officially opened the project. Among others present were Assistant Computer Operator Moniruzzaman and Upazila Assistant Engineer Pradip Kumar Roy.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Moni emphasized that rural infrastructure development is key to national progress. He expressed hope that the road would improve access to education, accelerate local trade, and reduce public suffering.
Locals believe the improved road will facilitate quicker transport of agricultural goods, better access to healthcare, and expansion of small businesses.
Experts also note that such rural road development plays a vital role in boosting economic growth and reducing the urban-rural gap.
The project has sparked a sense of relief and renewed hope in the area, marking a new chapter of development and opportunity for the community.
