Female drug dealer arrested with 2 kg of marijuana in Lalmonirhat 15 BGB operation

A female drug dealer named Rubina Khatun (40) has been arrested with 2 kg of Indian marijuana in a special operation by the Lalmonirhat Battalion (15 BGB).
He was arrested at 11:20 am on Friday from the area near Karanpur Field in Lalmonirhat.
According to BGB sources, a special patrol team of 15 BGB personnel conducted a raid in the Karanpur border area based on a secret tip-off. Sensing the presence of BGB personnel, the drug dealer tried to escape. Later, he was chased and searched and arrested along with 2 kg of ganja. The arrested Rubina Khatun is a resident of Gorkamandal village of Phulbari police station in Kurigram district. The estimated market value of the recovered drugs is 7,000 taka.
In this regard, Lieutenant Colonel Mehedi Imam, commander of 15 BGB, said that a case has been filed against the arrested accused at Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station and he has been handed over to the police along with the drugs. BGB will continue such strict surveillance and operations to secure the border and eradicate drugs.
