RCC launches special cleanliness drive to prevent dengue

Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) has launched a special cleanliness and fogging campaign as part of the nationwide three-month-long “Dengue Prevention and Cleanliness Campaign-2026.”
RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton inaugurated the campaign at Rajshahi Government Women’s College Hostel on Saturday noon.
Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Md Yusuf Ali attended the programme and addressed the gathering.
Later, RCC administrator and the divisional commissioner distributed dengue awareness leaflets among residents at Sonadighi intersection and other parts of the city.
RCC Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman Riton said the nationwide campaign was launched by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to effectively combat dengue and ensure cleanliness..
Additional Divisional Commissioner (Rev) Md Rezaul Alam Sarker, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Gen) Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Md Sabur Ali, RCC CEO Md Rezaul Karim, Secretary Sohel Rana, Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Md Mamun, Superintending Engineer (in charge) Ahmad Al-Moin Parag, Chief Health Officer Dr F.A.M. Anjuman Ara Begum, Metro Chhatra Dal Convener Limon and others were present.
