Discussion on anthrax disease control held in Sundarganj

A discussion meeting on public awareness activities to control anthrax disease was held in Sundarganj, Gaibandha on September 9 at the Sundarganj Hospital Auditorium under the chairmanship of UNO Iffat Jahan Tuli, moderated by Health and Family Planning Officer Kamrul Hasan.
Gaibandha Civil Surgeon Dr. Rafiqul Islam was present as the chief guest at the implementation meeting of the Disease Free and Disease Control Research Institute organized by the Upazila Hospital. Dr. Mostafa Mahmud was the main discussant, and Dr. Mehedi Hasan, Konchi Bari UP Chairman, Monowarul Islam, Sundarganj Upazila Jamaat Ameer Professor Shahidul Islam Manju, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr. Iftekharul Islam, Doctor Mehedi Hasan, journalists Khizir Uddin and Abdul Mannan were also present.
The speakers prohibited eating the meat of sick animals and touching sick animals. They are asking sick animals to seek medical advice immediately, and they are also asking them to use protective equipment when touching sick animals, and they are asking them to raise public awareness in this regard.
