Rally in Bauphal demanding July Charter implementation, genocide trial

A rally and mass procession were held in Bauphal, Patuakhali, marking the second anniversary of the July Uprising to demand the implementation of the July Charter and referendum verdict, along with the trial of those responsible for the July genocide.
Organized by the 11-Party Oikya Jote, a discussion meeting took place Wednesday morning at Bauphal Upazila Auditorium, chaired by Jamaat-e-Islami Upazila Amir Maulana Rafiqul Islam. Earlier, the Bauphal branch of Islami Chhatra Shibir staged a mass procession starting from Bauphal Government College and concluding at the Upazila square, where a protest rally was held.
Speakers, including leaders from Jamaat-e-Islami, Islami Chhatra Shibir, and Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis, accused the government of betraying the martyrs by delaying the July Charter's implementation.
