July Mass Uprising Day observed in Baraigram

July Mass Uprising Day was observed with due solemnity in Baraigram Upazila of Natore through a discussion meeting and a documentary screening organized by the Upazila Administration on Wednesday.
The program was held at the Upazila Auditorium, presided over by UNO Laila Jannatul Ferdous and moderated by Upazila Women Affairs Officer Mosammat Dalia Parvin.
Among those who addressed the discussion were Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Zubayer Jahangir, Upazila Agriculture Officer Sajib Al Maruf, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Moloy Kumar Kundu, OC of Bonpara Police Investigation Centre Md. Mahabubur Rahman, former Joint Convener of Baraigram Upazila BNP Abdus Salam, former General Secretary of Bonpara Poura BNP Sardar Rafiqul Islam, Secretary of Baraigram Upazila Jamaat Abu Bakar Siddique, Freedom Fighter Sardar Boyet Reza, NCP leader Hafizur Rahman, July Uprising participant Amir Hamza, student leader Md. Humayun Kabir, and President of Baraigram Smart Press Club Alhaj Md. Saifur Rahman.
The speakers highlighted the significance of the July Mass Uprising, emphasizing democracy, the protection of citizens' rights, and the collective responsibility of the people in nation-building.
Following the discussion, a documentary on the July Mass Uprising was screened for the audience.
Separately, to mark the occasion, Baraigram Upazila Jamaat organized a rally in Bonpara Municipality. The procession marched through the town's major roads before concluding with a brief discussion meeting at the Bonpara Municipal Gate.
