Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal rallies , wreath-laying in Meherpur on July Uprising Day

A colorful procession, wreath-laying and prayer service were held at the initiative of Meherpur District Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal on the occasion of July Uprising Day.
A procession of Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal started from in front of the Bospara BNP office in Meherpur city on Wednesday morning. The procession circled the main roads of the city and ended at the July Uprising Memorial in the College More area.
Later, wreaths were laid in memory of the martyrs there. BNP Central Executive Committee member and former MP from Meherpur-1 constituency Masud Arun said, "After 17 years of disappearances, murders, oppression, and torture, we were able to overthrow the fascist government through a bloody mass uprising in July."
Some say it will not take more than 72 hours to overthrow the BNP. Hasina has tried for 17 years, but the BNP workers have not left the streets despite the gun. Former joint convener of the district BNP Jahangir Biswas, former president of the Sadar Upazila BNP Advocate Maruf Ahmed Bijon, former general secretary Saiful Islam, district Chhatra Dal president Aqib Javed Senjir, district Sramik Dal president Ahsan Habib Sona, district Tanti Dal president Arzullah Master Bablu, district Jubo Dal senior joint general secretary Mehedi Hasan Rokon, joint general secretary Saidur Sujan, Mujibnagar Upazila Jubo Dal president Abul Hasan and municipal Jubo Dal member secretary Nowshel Ahmed Roni, along with leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliate organizations, were present.
