On the occasion of July Mass Uprising Day in Rangpur, wreath-laying ceremony, reception of family members and July warriors and discussion meeting were held with due dignity.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Shahidul Islam presided over the program organized by the district administration at the Rangpur District Shilpakala Academy Auditorium on Wednesday morning.

Rangpur-3 constituency MP Mahbubur Rahman Belal, Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Shamsuzzaman Samu, Rangpur City Corporation Administrator Advocate Mahfuz-Un-Nabi Chowdhury Don, Zilla Parishad Administrator Md. Saiful Islam, Rangpur Range DIG Aminul Islam, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Police Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mozammel Haque, July Uprising Coordinator Imran Ahmed and Imtiaz Ahmed Imti spoke at the program.

Prizes were distributed among the winners of various competitions organized on the occasion of the day and gifts were given to the martyrs and injured family members of the July Uprising. Government officials, July fighters, injured and martyred family members were present at the event.

Earlier in the morning floral wreaths were offered in the 36 July Monument for showing profound respect by Mahbubur Rahman Belal MP, Rangpur Development Authority Chairman Shamsuzzaman Samu, Rangpur City Corporation Administrator Advocate Mahfuz-Un-Nabi Chowdhury Don, Zilla Parishad Administrator Md. Saiful Islam, Rangpur Range DIG Aminul Islam, Rangpur Metro Police Police Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mozammel Haque and other stakeholders of July Mass Uprising Movement.

Various Government and Non-Government offices, Socio-cultural organizations, Educational Institutions of Rangpur also celebrated the day with due dignity and profound respect.
