Social Welfare and Women and Child Affairs Minister Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said, our district goal is to ensure the welfare of the people. There is no room for wasting time on who made what comments or who did what. Our main responsibility is to fulfill the expectations of the people. We are working for the welfare of the people and that work will continue.
He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of a tree plantation drive and tree fair organized in Nawabganj Upazila of Dinajpur on Friday afternoon.
The minister said the government is working relentlessly to ensure the development of the people, social security and the country's progress. He stressed the need to further accelerate the government's development activities without being distracted by criticism or political statements from any individual or group.
He further said that the government is working sincerely for the overall development of the country, improvement of the living standards of the helpless and underprivileged people, and expansion of the coverage of social security programs. He called on everyone to work unitedly to continue this trend of development.
Local administration officials, public representatives, officials from various departments, and leaders of political and social organizations were present at the event.
