A three-day training workshop on the Resilient Infrastructure for Adaptation and Vulnerability Reduction Project (RIAVR) has started in Gopalganj.
A three-day training workshop on the Resilient Infrastructure for Adaptation and Vulnerability Reduction Project (RIAVR) has started in Gopalganj.
Organized by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), the training workshop began on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium, attended by various upazila engineers, assistant engineers, contractor representatives, and consultants.
The training workshop was inaugurated by the chief guest, Md. Sharif Uddin, Supervising Engineer of the Faridpur Region of the Local Government Division. The special guest was Arun Kumar Choudhury, Project Director of the RIVER Project. The event was chaired by Md. Ehsanul Haque, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj LGED.
In his speech, the chief guest stated that under this project, funded by the World Bank, a total of 67 flood shelters will be constructed in Gopalganj district. The work has already begun in the district. He urged everyone involved in the project to remain fully responsible.
