Two workshops aimed at finalizing the draft script for a video documentary and the layout for factsheets under the Lessons Learned and Best Practices Video Documentation initiative were held on Wednesday  at the LGED Headquarters in the capital.

The initiative is implemented by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CReLIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP) of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).

Md. Belal Hossain, Chief Engineer of LGED, attended the sessions as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted LGED's continuous efforts to build innovative and durable infrastructure to combat climate risks. He noted that the finalized documentary and factsheets will enrich CReLIC's Knowledge Management System (KMS), serving as vital reference materials for policymakers, development partners, local government institutions, and sector stakeholders.

Presiding over the workshops, Kazi Saiful Kabir, Additional Chief Engineer of LGED and Director of CReLIC, stated that CReLIC’s primary mandate is to document and disseminate successful climate-resilient infrastructure models. He added that these resources will guide engineers and researchers in executing sustainable infrastructure long after the project concludes.

Representatives from consulting firm Arani Advertising Ltd., including Team Leader Pankaj Palit, Senior Manager (Operations) Rajib Ahmed, and Planning and Business Development Manager Didarul Alam, presented detailed PowerPoint overviews during the working sessions.

The workshops were attended by LGED Additional Chief Engineers Abul Bashed Mohammad Rezaul Bari and Md. Wahiduzzaman; former Additional Chief Engineer Md. Ahsan Habib; Superintending Engineers Abdul Hamid and Md. Rayhan Siddique; along with project directors, executive engineers, senior assistant engineers, CRIMP-CReLIC Executive Engineer Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineer Arpan Paul, and CReLIC expert consultants.
