Mega project worth Tk 100 cr to be implemented : Master plan of Nojipur Municipality formulated

A consultation-3 seminar on the preparation of the master plan of Najipur Municipality was held at Patnitala, Naogaon under the Urban Mobility and Infrastructure Development Project.
The day-long program held at the municipal hall on Monday was addressed by Rifat Ara, UNO of Patnitala and Administrator of Nojipur Municipality. The main speaker was S.M. Abdullah Al Mamun, Senior Planner, LGED Department, IUGIP Project.
Also speaking at the event were - Nazipur Municipality Engineer Fazlul Haque, Nazipur Municipality BNP President Mamun Hossain, BNP leader Fazlul Haque, Municipal BNP Organizing Secretary A.Z. Mizan, Jubo Dal leader Abdul Quader, Municipal Krishak Dal leader Zaman Hossain, BNP leader Jamal, Upazila Mohila Dal President Maryam Begum, Upazila Mohila Dal leader Mousumi Sultana, Nazipur Municipality Mohila Dal leader Mahfuza, Ripa, General Secretary of Nazipur Bus Stand Merchant Committee M.R. Mostafa, Representative of Nazipur Notunhat Merchant Committee Jahangir Alam, Patnitala Press Club President Ikhtiyar Uddin Azad, among others.
In the seminar, everyone committed to implementing the development of the 'A' class Nazipur Municipality (mega project, 100 crore taka) with the World Bank funding, subject to the advice and discussion of prominent citizens of the municipality. Everyone is hopeful that the overall system including waterlogging and roads in the municipality area will see visible development in the next 20 years' plan.
