JSTU teacher suspended

Elias Uddin (Sani), a teacher of Jamalpur Science and Technology University ( JSTU) has been suspended.
This information was disclosed in a notice signed by the university's registrar Mohammad Nur Hossain Chowdhury on April 22.
The suspended Elias Uddin, also known as Elias Sani, was the APS to Mirza Azam MP, the Organising Secretary of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Awami League. He was reportedly appointed to the university position through political lobbying.
Confirming the suspension, Registrar Nur Hossain Chowdhury said that Sani had been absent from the university since August 5. Although he was granted one month’s leave, he did not return to work after the leave ended. Instead, he applied to conduct classes online for an indefinite period.
As the university authorities found his application unreasonable and irrelevant, the decision was made to suspend him temporarily.
