Initiative of Chief Whip : Tk 25cr project approved for dev of Barguna Dist Stadium

A project involving an allocation of Tk 24.99 crore has been approved for the comprehensive development and modernization of the Barguna District Stadium, bringing renewed enthusiasm to the local sports community.
The initiative was greenlit based on a formal proposal submitted by the National Sports Council under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
According to project details, the funds will be utilized to upgrade infrastructural facilities at the district stadium alongside the construction of a modern dormitory building for athletes. Officials noted that the new dormitory will resolve long-standing accommodation challenges for players visiting from various upazilas, thereby significantly boosting the district's capacity to host regional and national-level sports tournaments.
Local sports organizers and enthusiasts have welcomed the initiative, observing that the removal of infrastructural bottlenecks will inject fresh momentum into the local sports arena and create a conducive environment for nurturing young talent.
Following the approval, residents and local organizations extended warm congratulations and gratitude via social media to Chief Whip of the National Parliament and Barguna-2 Member of Parliament Alhaj Nurul Islam Moni for his instrumental role in securing the project. Locals expressed optimism that the swift commencement and timely execution of the construction work will substantially enrich Barguna's sports infrastructure and encourage greater youth participation in athletics.
