Dpen Talukder appointed Rangamati Hill District Council Chairman

The Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs has appointed Dipan Talukder as Chairman of Rangamati Hill District Council on Thursday amid the reshuffle of thtee hill district councils.
The notification said that the government has reconstituted the council in accordance with the provisions of the Rangamati Hill District Council Act, 1989 and its various amendments.
In addition to the chairman, the reconstituted council includes 14 members as representatives of different communities
The nominated members are: Shaswat Chakma, Biltu Chakma, Subimal Chakma, Anil Baran Chakma, Uthwaimong Marma, Paiching Mong Marma, Prema Talukder, Timothy Khiang, Suparno Deb Barman, Mohammad Mamunur Rashid, Md. Tofazzal Hossain, Mohammad Faruk, Nandita Das and Chandra Chakma.
The notification issued by the President's order further states that the reconstituted interim council will function as per the Rangamati Hill District Council Act until further instructions are given.
