Despite possessing fifteen years of experience in merchandising and marketing, the career trajectory of Md. Abdullah Al Munim—a resident of Bank Colony in Savarcame to a sudden halt after he fell seriously ill and subsequently lost his job.

After overcoming a grueling three-month illness, Munim managed to return to his workplace only to face termination. Placed in extreme uncertainty alongside his three children and family, and finding it nearly impossible to sustain his household, Munim turned as a last resort to "Hello DC," a public-friendly platform operated by the Dhaka district administration.

Responding to his application submitted through the platform, Munim received an opportunity to meet Dhaka Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam at her office on Wednesday.

Coincidentally, Moshiur Rahman, CEO of the renowned apparel exporting firm MM International, was also present at the DC's office for a firearms interview. Upon hearing Munim's long professional background, illness, job loss, and the stark realities facing his family during a conversation in the DC's office, the entrepreneur was deeply moved by Munim's struggles.

Without waiting for formal or lengthy procedures, Moshiur Rahman immediately extended a helping hand, offering Munim a job at an appropriate position within his company, MM International. Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam expressed satisfaction with the industrialist's swift and humanitarian gesture. Following this, an official job appointment letter was handed to Munim in the presence of the Deputy Commissioner.

Expressing her views on the matter, Deputy Commissioner Farida Khanam noted that if affluent and capable individuals in society come forward for humanitarian causes, many people's problems can be easily resolved. She added that not just government initiatives, but the cooperation of every capable person in society can bring about positive changes in the lives of helpless individuals.

With the appointment letter in hand, relief and hope returned to Munim's face, paving the way for him to dream anew for his family following a prolonged period of uncertainty.

This single application, compassionate encounter, and immediate assistance from an industrialist opened a new door of possibilities, serving as a shining example of how platforms like "Hello DC" can effectively stand by people in times of crisis.
