A child named Mizbah Uddin (6) died after drowning in Baruthan of Karnaphuli, Chittagong.

The accident took place in Jame Masjid pond of Jamiatul Mamu, West Dakpara area of Baruthan (Ward No. 9) of upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased Mizbah Uddin is the son of Shamsul Alam Mistry of Asha's father's house in that area. Misbah Uddin is a nursery student of Al Mostafa (PBUH) Islamia Sunni Madrasa in Dakpara area. Mohammad Shamsul Alam Mistry, the father of the deceased child confirmed the truth of the incident. It is known that on Thursday afternoon, while playing Mizbah, the child fell into the water of the pond next to the house behind the scenes. Later, if they could not find him, the relatives rescued him from the water of the pond at one stage of the search.

Later, he was taken to Anwara Holy Health Hospital where the doctor on duty declared Mizbah Uddin dead. Eyewitness Atiqur Rahman said, when he could not be found, when he went to the stairs of the pond and saw Mizbahar's shoes, the teachers asked me to go down to the pond. I also went down to the pond to look for him and at one point my leg touched his body.

Then he was rescued and taken to the hospital. Hafez Noor Uddin Rubel, director of Al Mostafa (pbuh) Islamia Sunni Madrasa said, "Mizbah students of my Madrasah come to the Madrasah in the morning." He was given leave at twelve noon. I was very shocked to hear about it later. Such a death is never desirable. Mizba's father Shamsul Alam Mistry said while crying, I was at work. Suddenly hearing the matter on the phone as if the moon fell from the sky. After this incident, a shadow of mourning fell over the entire area.
