Winter clothes, education grants distributed to 569 students in Tungipara

Winter clothes were distributed to 500 students and education grants were provided to 69 students from helpless and minority ethnic groups in Tungipara in Gopalganj on Friday.
These winter clothes were distributed at the initiative of the Tungipara Upazila administration.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Kamruzzaman was the chief guest at the winter clothes distribution ceremony at the auditorium of Tungipara Multipurpose Supermarket.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sheikh Shamsul Arefin, Upazila Education Officer Masudur Rahman spoke at the ceremony held under the chairmanship of Tungipara Upazila Executive Officer Md. Moinul Haque. Later, winter clothes were distributed to 500 students from 18 primary schools and 8 madrasas in Tungipara Upazila and education grants of Tk 8 lakh were provided to 69 students from helpless and minority ethnic groups.
Anisa, a student of class 2 of Patgati Government Primary School, who received winter clothes, says, "I used to go to school normally. But it was very difficult for us because of the winter. Now that I have received winter clothes, it will not be difficult for me to go to school."
Diya Sheikh, a student of class 5 of Banshbaria Jhanjhania Primary School, says, "My father works in agriculture. He is making me study with great difficulty. It was very difficult for me to go to school because of the winter. Now that I have received winter clothes, it will not be difficult for me to go to school."
