Intensity of winter winter increasing at Baraigram

The intensity of winter is increasing in Baraigram upazila of Natore with dense fog and icy winds. Most of the day is covered in fog. Even though the sun is visible, the cold is not decreasing. Due to the dense fog, vehicles are moving with their headlights on even during the day.

The helpless people are trying to beat the cold by lighting straws. Low-income working people are facing the most problems due to the cold and dense fog. People's movement has decreased a lot. People are not leaving their homes unless absolutely necessary. Low-income people are forced to go out to work to meet their family expenses despite the cold.

6 robbers arrested at Naldanga

The police have arrested six members of an inter-district robbery gang, including a woman, from Naogaon and recovered the auto-rickshaw in connection with the auto-rickshaw robbery in Naldanga upazila of Natore district. They were arrested from different places in Naogaon on Thursday night. This information was given by Superintendent of Police (SP) of Natore Marufat Hussain in a press release on Thursday afternoon.

The Superintendent of Police said that at night on November 24, auto-rickshaw driver Abdus Sobahan was waiting for passengers with an auto-rickshaw at the Ekata intersection of the Natore Railway Station Bazar. At that time, six robbers, including a woman, hired the auto-rickshaw as a reserve to go to Atrai of Naogaon as passengers. Later, as soon as they reached at Birkutsa Durlavpur Bridge in Naldanga Upazila, the robbers disguised as passengers stabbed the driver with a sharp weapon and fled with the auto rickshaw along with his mobile phone and money.

The arrested are Shanto Islam (24) son of Nasiruddin of Abidya village of Manda police station in Naogaon district, Rakibul Hasan (23) son of Gayesh Uddin of Chak-Balu village, Nayem Sardar (24) son of Yusuf Sardar of Bisiya village of Raninagar upazila, Asadul Islam (42) son of Abdul Mandal of Kalar Palsha of Badalgachhi police station, Mst Nisha (22) daughter of deceased Alam Hossain of Bilasbari area of Badalgachhi police station, and Harunur Rashid (52) son of deceased Ahad Ali of Naogaon Mohalla of Naogaon Sadar.

Train engine leaves bogies at Madhnagar

A train engine leaves two bogies at Madhnagar, Natore. This incident took place on Thursday noon , December 19. Later, the locomotive driver realized the matter. Then the train moves backward again and connects the line with the other coaches.

The train left Madhnagar station an hour later. Madhnagar Railway Station Master Ujjwal Hossain said that at around 12 noon on Thursday, the intercity Kurigram Express train from Kurigram to Dhaka was passing Madhnagar station when the nut came loose and two coaches from the rear were separated. After that, the train was moving towards Naldanga for a while and the driver realized that two coaches from the rear had fallen off.

Then he brought the train backwards again and reconnected the coaches and started the journey again after an hour.
