The Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Faridpur district branch, organized a commemorative meeting marking "July 36" alongside a scientific seminar on the "Management of Dengue Fever 'at the courtesy of Beximco Pharmaceuticals PLC at Swapna Chhoa Community Center in the town's Jhilartuli area.

The grand event, held at 9:00 PM on Wednesday was presided over by DAB Faridpur district branch Convener Prof Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman (Shamim) and conducted by Dr. A.F.M. Kamal.

Held under the theme "The strength and motivational pledge of July 36, our journey in healthcare," the seminar's primary focus centered on dengue treatment and medical awareness. Professor Dr. Khan Md. Arif, Vice-Principal of Faridpur Medical College and Head of the Department of Medicine at the hospital, delivered a keynote presentation detailing modern treatment protocols, accurate diagnosis, and patient monitoring guidelines for dengue fever.

Rafsan Binte Ashraf, Brand Executive at Beximco Pharmaceuticals, addressed the gathering as the corporate speaker. Over 150 physicians practicing at various hospitals across Faridpur attended the seminar, engaging in productive discussions regarding the current dengue situation and the responsibilities of medical professionals.

Following the seminar, a commemorative meeting was held to observe the historic "July 36." Speakers included Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahmudul Hasan, Professor Dr. Md. Mostafizur Rahman Shamim, Dr. Tansif Zubayer Nadim, Dr. Ali Akbar Haldar, Dr. Mridha Md. Shahinuzzaman, Dr. Nurul Islam Rana, Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Dr. Enamul Haq, Dr. Saki Khan, Dr. Al Amin Sarwar, Dr. Nisat Chowdhury, and Dr. Tanzil Abir.

During the discussions, speakers criticized the authoritarian rule of the ousted Awami League regime over the past 17 years, with DAB leaders expressing anguish over the severe professional discrimination and deprivation they faced during their careers. The event concluded with special prayers seeking eternal peace for the martyrs of the July uprising.
