Coast Guard detained 3 with 23 different domestic weapons in Teknaf

Three criminals were detained with 23 different domestic weapons in the operation of Coast Guard in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar on Thursday noon.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taki informed this through a press release.
For the several days Maulvi Monir and his assistants of Sabrang Union under Teknaf Thana of Cox's Bazar district were holding hostages of the local people and public and were carrying out forced land grabbing, looting, drug trade and various illegal activities. Then on the basis of secret information today Thursday 10th October 2024 at 0200 hours Bangladesh Coast Guard Eastern Zone BCG Station Teknaf, RAB CPC-01 and Teknaf Police conducted a special operation in Katabuniya area under Teknaf police station Maulvi Monir Ahmed (52), Md Sohail ( 25) and Md. Ziaul Islam (27) were arrested with 23 different indigenous weapons.
The detained persons along with the seized goods were handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action.
