Booth for income tax return filing opens at DU

On the occasion of 'Income Tax Information-Service Month-2024', with the aim of providing online and manual income tax return filing, assistance for income tax return filing, e-TIN and other services related to income tax, on Monday at the Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhavan of Dhaka University. Income tax service booth was inaugurated throughout the day.
This program has been taken as a joint initiative of Dhaka University and National Board of Revenue. Today Monday and tomorrow Tuesday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm from this income tax service booth teachers, officials, employees and their family members can receive income tax return services.

Teachers, officers, employees and their family members of Dhaka University are fulfilling their civic duty by filing income tax returns every year through such arrangements. He emphasized on increasing the income tax payment rate at all levels including individual and institutional in order to establish a non-discrimination society and play a role in the overall development of the country. In order to move towards a 'paperless economy', Bangladesh has now simplified the system of filing income tax returns online, he said, like the developed world, we also have to get used to filing income tax returns online.

He called on everyone to play their role in establishing a society free from corruption and exploitation by filing income tax returns online. Highlighting the various initiatives of the government to reduce the price of goods, he said, the import duties of several daily commodities have already been withdrawn.
