Titumir College students block Mohakhali rail tracks demanding university status

Students of Titumir College staged a demonstration this morning by occupying the Mohakhali rail tracks, demanding the upgradation of their institution to a university.
Several hundred students began the demonstration around 11:00am, disrupting rail movement and halting the traffic movement on the roads adjacent to the rail track, witnesses said.
The students have vowed to continue their demonstration until authorities take concrete steps to address their demand.
Earlier on 24 October, the students of Titumir College blocked the road on the same demand.
