Bidyanondo Foundation 's'1 Taka Pujar Bazar in Ctg'

In celebration of Autumn Durga Puja, Bidyanondo Foundation organized a unique program on Thursday at the Exclusive Convention Hall in the Jamalkhan area of Chattogram, titled ‘1 Taka Puja Bazar.’ This year's slogan, "Festival for All, Bangladesh for All," carried a message of equal celebration across the nation.
A representative from Bidyanondo told The Country Today, “The primary objective of this day-long event was to support low-income individuals. We want to ensure that they do not miss out on the joy of the Puja celebrations.” Over a thousand children, women, and elderly individuals from various parts of Chattogram participated in the program, where they could purchase new clothing and essential household goods for just 1 taka. The ‘1 Taka Puja Bazaar’ offered low-income people the chance to buy items such as dhotis, panjabis, three-piece sets and shirts. Additionally, essential commodities like flour, semolina, coconut, and oil were also available for purchase.
Through this initiative, Bidyanondo Foundation has successfully made the Durga Puja festivities more vibrant and meaningful for economically disadvantaged communities.
