
Awareness meeting on health risks, prevention due to climate change in Pangsha

An awareness meeting on health risks and prevention due to climate change was held in Pangsha, Rajbari under the BRAC Health Program (BHP).
The meeting was organized by BRAC's Climate Change and Health Project at the Upazila Health Complex auditorium on Monday at 11:30 am.
BRAC Health Program TB District Manager A.M Mizanur Rahman moderated the event and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) S.M. Abu Darda spoke as the chief guest.
Among others, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Ebadat Hossain, Resident Medical Officer Dr. Qutub Ahmed, Medical Officer Dr. Palash Sikder, Upazila Sanitary Inspector Taibur Rahman, etc.
The speakers at the meeting gave various directional speeches on increasing public awareness to address health risks due to climate change, making healthcare accessible, preserving the environment and developing health-friendly habits.
Present at the information meeting were Sabia Sabrin Suhi, Climate Change and Health Project Officer of Rajbari Sadar of BRAC Health Program, Md. Sourav Hossain, Project Officer of Kalukhali, and Suraiya Akhter, Program Officer of Pangsha.
Deputy assistant community medical officers of the Upazila Health Complex, officials of various government departments and NGO workers were also present.
