904 Ansar members will be under security at the Puja Mandap in Kamalganj

In Kamalganj of Moulvibazar, 904 members of Ansar and VDP will be responsible for the overall security of 148 mandaps in order to celebrate the autumn Durga Puja in a fair, peaceful and festive environment. To this end, a briefing parade was held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Tuesday noon organized by Ansar and VDP Under the chairmanship of Upazila Ansar and VDP officer Shamsun Nahar.
Upazila Ansar and VDP trainer Md. Jahed Hossain gave a welcome speech at the briefing parade. Ansar and VDP trainer Sanjida Akhtar spoke among others,sub- inspector of Kamalganj police station Md. Abdus Shahid, convenor of Kamalganj press club MA, Wahid Rulu. This time Kamalganj. Officials, members and journalists of various levels of Upazila Ansar and VDP were present.
Upazila Ansar and VDP officer Shamsun Nahar said that Durga Puja will be held in 137 public and 11 private mandaps in the upazila this year. 4 hundred and 52 men, 2 hundred 96 women, 8 PCs and 148 APCs along with 9 hundred and four members of Ansar and VDP will be deployed to protect the law and order and overall security of the puja mandap.
Kamalganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer joyinal Abedin said that the police and other law and order forces will be responsible for maintaining overall law and order during Durga Puja. Vigilance team has been formed. They will also be responsible for patrolling various unions.
