MP Rafiqul Islam Jamal inaugurates Kathalia-Amua highway repair works, addresses BNP meeting

Member of Parliament for Jhalakathi-1 (Kathalia-Rajapur) Rafiqul Islam Jamal inaugurated the repair and renovation works of the Kathalia-Amua regional highway on Monday.
The inauguration took place at 11:00 AM on Monday at the Amua Zero Point, marking the formal start of repair works on a 15-kilometer stretch of the 34-kilometer-long Rajapur-Kathalia-Amua regional highway. Following the inauguration ceremony, a exchange of views meeting was held with local BNP. leaders and activists.
Addressing the gathering as the chief guest on Monday, MP Rafiqul Islam Jamal emphasized that no corruption, bribery, or irregularities would be tolerated in any development project within his constituency. He warned contractors to ensure high-quality construction standards and further asserted that bribery in teacher and staff recruitment across educational institutions would be strictly prevented.
Executive Engineer of Jhalakathi Roads Department Mansurul Aziz, UNO Md. Makbul Hossain, Kathalia Police Station OC Md. Abu Naser Raihan, Upazila BNP President Jalalur Rahman Akon, and General Secretary Akhter Hossain Nizam Mirbahar attended the event as special guests. Amua Union BNP President Md. Zakir Hossain Goldar presided over the program, which was attended by leaders and activists of local BNP and its associate organizations.
